Background and Education
Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, born on 2 November 1967 in Bandung, West Java, was raised in a Sundanese family grounded in the values of togetherness, collaboration, and hard work. The son of a retired Indonesian Army officer and a dedicated mother, his upbringing shaped a disciplined, community-oriented approach to leadership.
He graduated in Hospitality Management from HIM University, Switzerland in 1991 and received the same major at AHLEI Florida in 2012, and later earned the FIATA Diploma in International Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management, forming the foundation of his global career in logistics and supply chain leadership.
Professional and Organizational Experience
He is the Chairman of Forway Group and Nawasena6 Group, a private family conglomerate with interests spanning logistics and supply chains, food and beverages, film and fashion, and investment. In parallel, he serves as President Director of PT Sanggraha Pintar Logistik Indonesia a joint venture business with global container shipping company SITC and Vice President Director of PT Interport Mandiri Utama. He is currently Commissioner of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned logistics holding company, Commissioner of PT Nusabara Abad Sinergi, Commissioner of Power Commerce Asia, Commissioner of PT Dredging International Indonesia, and Special Advisor to PT Daaz Bara Lestari Tbk. Previously, he served as Commissioner of PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk, a publicly listed electric bus manufacturer from 2023-2024, and Commissioner of PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya from 2020-2024.
At the global level, Yukki is Senior Vice President of FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations), the world’s largest freight forwarding organization representing over 50,000 companies across 150 territories. As the first Indonesian to hold a senior leadership role within FIATA, he plays a pivotal role in advancing the voice of the Indo-Pacific region in global logistics.
At FIATA, Yukki previously served as Chairman of the ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations (AFFA) from 2016 to 2022. In this role, he spearheaded the inclusion of Southeast Asian countries into the Regional Single Window, contributing to deeper trade facilitation during ASEAN Community integration.
Yukki also led the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarder Association (ALFI/ILFA) from 2014 to 2023, following more than a decade of senior leadership within the organization. Since joining its executive ranks in 2009, he has served as Chair of Organizational Affairs, Secretary General, and ultimately Chairman, playing a central role in shaping Indonesia’s logistics and freight forwarding industry.
He previously served as Acting Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia) in 2023-2024, the country’s statutory business organization representing more than 100,000 enterprises across all sectors and scales.
At the governmental level in Indonesia during 2020-2024, He was the member of the advisory group and investment committee of the Ministry of Investment (BKPM), and later served the advisory role to the Minister of Transportation and the Minister of Energy and Minerals (ESDM).
